International Journal of Pharma Insight Studies

Editorial Policies

The International Journal of Pharma Insight Studies (IJPIS) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic quality, ethical publishing, and editorial transparency. These editorial policies outline the principles, responsibilities, and procedures that guide the journal’s editorial decision-making and publication practices.

IJPIS follows internationally recognized best practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME) to ensure credibility, integrity, and trust in the scholarly record.

1. Editorial Independence and Responsibility

The editorial team of IJPIS operates with full editorial independence. Editorial decisions are made without influence from sponsors, institutions, or commercial interests. The Editor-in-Chief, associate editors, and editorial board members are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts are evaluated fairly, objectively, and solely on the basis of their scientific merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

The journal is committed to maintaining confidentiality throughout the editorial and review process and ensuring that unpublished material is not used by editors or reviewers for personal research or advantage.

2. Manuscript Evaluation and Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to IJPIS undergo a structured editorial evaluation process. Upon submission, manuscripts are first screened by the editorial office to assess compliance with journal guidelines, scope suitability, originality, and basic ethical requirements.

Eligible manuscripts are then subjected to a Double-Blind Peer Review Process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed. Independent subject experts evaluate submissions for scientific accuracy, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, relevance, and contribution to pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences.

Based on reviewer recommendations, the editorial team may decide to accept, request revisions, or reject the manuscript. Final publication decisions rest with the Editor-in-Chief.

3. Ethical Standards and Publication Integrity

IJPIS is strongly committed to upholding ethical standards in scholarly publishing. All participants in the publication process—authors, reviewers, editors, and publishers—are expected to follow principles of honesty, transparency, and accountability.

Unethical practices such as plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, redundant publication, image manipulation, or citation manipulation are strictly prohibited. Allegations of misconduct are investigated in accordance with COPE guidelines, and appropriate actions are taken when ethical breaches are confirmed.

4. Originality, Plagiarism, and Duplicate Submission

Authors must ensure that their submissions are original works that have not been previously published and are not under consideration by any other journal. All manuscripts submitted to IJPIS are screened using plagiarism detection software prior to peer review.

Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism, excessive similarity, self-plagiarism, or unethical duplication will be rejected. The journal maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism and reserves the right to take corrective action in serious cases.

5. Authorship Criteria and Contributor Accountability

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant intellectual contributions to the conception, design, execution, analysis, or interpretation of the research. All listed authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to be accountable for all aspects of the work.

Honorary, guest, or gift authorship is not permitted. Contributors who do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately. Any changes in authorship after submission must be justified and approved by all authors.

6. Conflicts of Interest and Transparency

IJPIS requires authors, reviewers, and editors to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the research, review, or publication process. Conflicts may be financial, institutional, professional, or personal in nature.

Full disclosure promotes transparency and helps readers assess the objectivity of published research. Declared conflicts of interest will be published alongside the article when relevant.

7. Research Ethics: Human and Animal Studies

Research involving human participants must comply with internationally accepted ethical principles, such as the Declaration of Helsinki. Authors must confirm that ethical approval was obtained from an appropriate institutional review board or ethics committee and that informed consent was obtained from participants.

Studies involving animals must follow recognized ethical guidelines for animal care and use. Manuscripts lacking appropriate ethical approval or documentation may be rejected.

8. Corrections, Retractions, and Editorial Actions

If errors, inaccuracies, or ethical concerns are identified after publication, IJPIS may issue corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern as necessary. These actions are taken to maintain the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of the scholarly record.

Retractions are issued in cases of serious ethical violations or unreliable findings, while corrections are published for honest errors that do not invalidate the work.

9. Open Access, Copyright, and Licensing

IJPIS is a fully open-access journal. All published articles are freely available without subscription or access barriers. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction, provided proper credit is given.

Authors retain full copyright of their work while granting the journal the right to publish and disseminate the content.

10. Commitment to Quality and Scholarly Excellence

Through these editorial policies, IJPIS aims to foster a transparent, ethical, and academically rigorous publishing environment. The journal is dedicated to supporting high-quality research, encouraging global scholarly collaboration, and contributing meaningfully to the advancement of pharmaceutical sciences.
