International Journal of Pharma Insight Studies
Plagiarism Policy
The International Journal of Pharma Insight Studies upholds the highest standards of integrity in academic publishing, with zero tolerance for plagiarism. Plagiarism, whether intentional or unintentional, is a violation of ethical publishing practices and academic integrity. All authors submitting manuscripts to the journal are expected to submit original content that appropriately acknowledges all sources.
Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism occurs when an individual presents another’s work, ideas, or words as their own without proper citation. This includes but is not limited to:
Plagiarism Before Publication
All submitted manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism using advanced plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts that exceed acceptable limits of similarity will be returned to authors for revision or, if necessary, rejected. The journal follows a strict evaluation process based on the extent of detected plagiarism:
Plagiarism Detected After Publication
If plagiarism is detected after a manuscript has been published, the journal will initiate a formal investigation. Depending on the severity, the following actions may be taken:
Originality Requirement
By submitting to the International Journal of Pharma Insight Studies, authors affirm that their work is original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Duplicate publication or self-plagiarism without appropriate citation is strictly prohibited.
Handling Self-Plagiarism
Self-plagiarism occurs when an author reuses portions of their previously published work without acknowledging the original source. While reuse of one’s own previously copyrighted work is permissible, it requires full citation to the prior publication. The journal does not tolerate self-plagiarism, especially if it involves the near-verbatim reuse of large portions of previously published material.
Accidental or Unintentional Plagiarism
In some cases, authors may plagiarize unintentionally by misunderstanding proper citation practices. However, ignorance is not an excuse for plagiarism. Authors are responsible for ensuring they understand the difference between paraphrasing and quoting and for accurately citing all sources.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Authors must ensure that all sources are accurately cited and acknowledged. Any reuse of others' work, including figures, tables, images, or other creative content, must be accompanied by appropriate attribution.
